Nollywood actress and filmmaker Mary Njoku has shared a strong message on gratitude, cautioning people against abusing or misusing help that comes their way.
In a post shared on her Instagram page, Njoku advised individuals to accept unexpected help with wisdom and appreciation, stressing that support should not be taken for granted or turned into entitlement.
She warned that some people place excessive pressure on those who assist them, eventually exhausting their helpers and later denying the good they once received.

According to her, such attitudes often lead people to wrongly accuse others or look for enemies when support eventually stops.
She wrote:
“Whether God sends you a helper you didn’t expect, take the help with gratitude and wisdom. Don’t be ungrateful by placing the weight of your entire generation on that person.“Don’t turn divine assistance into a Subscription. Use your head. You drain people to the point where, once they stop helping, you rewrite history and dismiss all the good they ever did.
“And you still wonder who the village people are. Use your mirrow bro.”
Her post has since sparked conversations online, with many followers interpreting the message as a reminder to practice gratitude, accountability, and self-reflection when receiving support from others.
