Super Eagles player, Wilfred Ndidi has been rated average after his performance at the Leicester City match with Brentford, which ended on a 2-2 draw in their opener of the first premier league game of the season.
This is Ndidi’s first appearance in any competition since he sustained an injury on his knee in March, which made him miss the world cup qualifier against Ghana. He performed fantastically well, at the preseason match against Seville despite just recovering from his injury and was rated a seven over ten.
At Yesterday’s match, he was rated a five over ten by the Leicester Mercury. According to Leicester Mercury, Ndidi performed well but he got a lot of support from other players. If we can recall, Iheanacho who was benched in the match advised his teammates to put in their best for them to win as this will boost their confidence in the next game, but things didn’t turn out quite well as the match ended in a draw.
commenting on his display, Leicester Mercury wrote:” He received plenty of support in winning the ball back in central midfield, so he didn’t need to be the all-action man he can be. In possession, there were moments where simple balls did not find their target.”
