Intrigue and mystery have surrounded the health of South Africa’s Zulu king on Sunday, July 2 after he’d been rushed to a hospital after being allegedly poisoned.
Veteran South African politician and Zulu Chief, Mangosuthu Buthelezi had made the assertion that King Misuzulu kaZwelithini was gravely ill.
The Zulu chief is the present traditional prime minister to the Zulu monarch.
According to reports, Buthelezi had raised the alarm after Douglas Xaba, the king’s senior aide recently passed away. This led the Chief to suspect foul play.
The king had then immediately sought medical treatment in Eswatini, formerly known as Swaziland.
Buthelezi had simply explained that the King had felt discomfited seeking treatment in his home country as his parents had both received treatment in South Africa but had ended up dying.
The Royal household had meanwhile, refuted Buthelezi’s claim that the King had been poisoned, insisting that His Majesty was in perfect health.
According to the Head of communications, Prince Africa Zulu, the King was in fine shape.
Regardless of Prince Zulu’s remarks, it wouldn’t hurt to double-check the ‘perfect health’ of the Zulu monarch.
People don’t usually drop dead all of a sudden without reasons, therefore the senior aide’s health has to be investigated as well.
