In Edo state, a 19-year old who claimed to be native doctor was arrested for allegedly killing his client. The unfortunate event happened on the 20th of August in the Onumu Community, Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of Edo State.
As stated by the State Police Command spokesperson, SP Moses Yamu, the victim, Alex Ezekiel, went to the suspect in order to buy a bullet proof charm. The native doctor, known for preparing charms designed to protect against gunshots and cutlass attacks, allegedly tested the efficacy of the charm on Ezekiel by shooting him.
The charm however, did not work, and Ezekiel received the lethal wound. He was taken to Ifejola Hospital in Igarra and the medical personnel there stated that he was dead. The police have said that the suspect will be prosecuted once the investigations are over.
