Esther Onyenezide was crowned the woman of the match, at the match against South Korea at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica, After the Falconets won against South Korea.
Onyenezide scored the goal which gave them victory over South Korea and a ticket to the quarter-finals. This is the Falconet’s second win since the tournament started, as Flourish Sabastina scored the goal that gave them victory over France at the opener of the WWC, which earned her woman of the match.
They are to play against Canada in their last group games. Nigerians are overly excited about the girls’ performance, as this is proof that we are the giants of female football in Africa. Our prayers are with the girls.
