British rapper Slowthai and his co-accused Alex Blake-Walker are on trial for allegedly raping two women at a house party in Oxford on September 8, 2021. The accusations came after Frampton’s performance at The Bullingdon music venue.
Prosecutors say the men lured the women to the party, then isolated and raped them; one of the alleged victims was described as a “fan” of the rapper. Prosecutors also said both men encouraged each other during the assaults and ran away when interrupted.
The defense maintains that all the sexual activities were consensual, with the lawyer for Slowthai suggesting the events were “spontaneous and chaotic” rather than forced.
The trial at Oxford Crown Court is expected to last three weeks. Slowthai, a Grammy-nominated artist, faced professional backlash after the allegations surfaced, including being removed from major festival line-ups.
