The latest Nollywood drama just went from simmering tension to full-blown war. It all started when Angela Okorie announced she had forgiven fellow actress Mercy Johnson after hearing disturbing rumors about Mercy’s health. What was meant as a peace gesture backfired spectacularly when Regina Daniels, Mercy’s close senior colleague, slammed Angela’s statement — sparking a fierce exchange of words and personal digs.

Angela’s “Forgiveness” Sparks Regina’s Fierce Rebuttal

During an Instagram Live session on Tuesday, Angela said she had put an end to her long-running feud with Mercy Johnson, citing “disturbing reports” about Mercy’s health as her reason for forgiving her.

Regina Daniels fired back on her Instagram Story, dismissing the “so-called forgiveness” and defending Mercy with no holds barred.

Angela Hits Back: Age, Respect, and Marriage as Weapons

Angela responded with a barrage of Instagram stories, targeting Regina’s marital status and tone. She wrote:

“You feel because you married a grandpa you can talk to me?”

She didn’t stop there, calling Regina’s upbringing into question despite her education:

“Me I just think to say every young girl wey go school suppose get sense, especially a child with proper home training.”

Angela also reminded Regina of their history, saying:

“You are like a child to me… you used to come to my house with so much respect.”

And she made it clear she had no problem with Regina’s husband but wouldn’t tolerate disrespect:

“You just won’t stop embarrassing Nigerians from time to time with your and your old man.”

Angela ended with a chilling warning:

“If you insult me again, I will remind you what you have forgotten. Last warning, Regina Daniels.”

Regina’s Savage Clapback: “Aunty Werey” and Old Man Jabs

Regina Daniels did not hold back. Her reply was fiery and direct:

“Aunty werey I married my old man but he is certainly not your regular old man. He is everything your kind prays for but can’t attract.”

She also dragged Angela for allegedly chasing Ned Nwoko herself:

“Don’t get me started to tell the world how you were chasing this same old man.”

Regina made it clear she refuses to be compared to Angela:

“Now let your age reflect your reasoning. Clearly you failed because a girl that once admired you when she was 6 sees you as nothing to write home about.”

She also threw major shade at Angela’s career and connection to Mercy Johnson:

“And for Christ sake stop comparing yourself to me!!! It will be a huge disrespect to me and everyone that supports my movement. You and I are not the same. Not even close. I am bigger than you and your entire music/movie career. Let’s not even mention my mama (Mercy Johnson) whose name rings the loudest bell. I don’t need scandals or shadows to shine.”

She wrapped up with a reflection on maturity and legacy:

“Age? It’s just a number. What truly counts is how you’ve lived, what you’ve built, and who you’ve become. The roads I’ve walked, the milestones I’ve hit with grace, not disgrace are places your bitterness will never carry you.”

My Take: When Feuds Go Too Far

Honestly, this feud feels like a messy mix of personal grudges and public posturing. Angela’s demand for respect as a senior actress is understandable, but dragging marriages and billionaire husbands into the fight turns it into a spectacle rather than a mature exchange.

Regina’s defense is strong, but throwing insults like “Aunty werey” and accusing Angela of chasing her husband only adds fuel to the fire.
