The Economic and Financial Crime Commission has announced the arrest of Mr. Ahmed Idris on their official website.
Mr. Ahmed Idris is the current Accountant general of the Confederacy and he was arrested in association with the avocation of funds and money laundering up to the total amount of 80 billion naira.
The funds were acquired through real estate investments in Kano and Abuja. He had used proxies, family, and close affiliates to illegally acquire the money.
He was arrested after declining to concede to the invitation by the EFCC concerning his defrauding acts.
