In a compilation of discussions and negotiations that have been said to have continued for a little over 15 years, seven political parties have finally reached a concession and joined forces to fight the presently ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) party as well as the previous incumbent Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in the upcoming 2023 countrywide elections.

Ms. Bello Bilikis, the Spokesperson for the National Consultative Front (NCFront) explained that the alliance was a result of several conferences between stakeholders and political bodies like the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress. Professor Attahiru Jega of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Professor Pat Utomi of the Labour Party (LP), and Senator Saidu Dausadau of the National Rescue Movement (NRM) had been added on board to head the alliance and also to establish a Mega Electoral Alliance and field a single line of candidates consisting of supporters of the seven allied parties.
