Omowunmi, the widow of late singer Mohbad, has debunked viral claims suggesting that she recently had a second child with another man.
The speculation began on X, where posts alleged that she had given birth to a baby girl.
The rumour quickly triggered mixed reactions online, with some users encouraging her to move on with her life, while others criticised her for allegedly doing so before her late husband was properly laid to rest.

One social media user wrote: “Life no get duplicate, and mourning get expiring date. Mohbad wife don born pikin again. If you like go die for loyalty of love. The world go cry for one week, drink beer the next week, and replace you the third week. Borrow yourself brain.”
Responding to the allegation through her Snapchat account, Omowunmi dismissed the story, describing it as a deliberate attempt to damage her image.
“You guys are funny on Twitter. Mohbad’s wife gave birth? This smear campaign is funny asf,” she wrote.
She further addressed the rumour by posting a photo of herself and her son, Liam, on her Instagram story, referring to him as her “my one and only,” seemingly to clarify that she has no other child.
Omowunmi has remained in the public spotlight since the controversial death of her husband, Mohbad, on September 12, 2023. The singer reportedly died after receiving an injection administered by an auxiliary nurse, a development that sparked widespread outrage and led to the exhumation of his body for an autopsy.
In May 2024, the investigation faced a setback after pathologists disclosed that the cause of death could not be established due to the level of decomposition.
More recently, Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, alleged that the singer had cancelled plans for a formal wedding with Omowunmi after discovering that “she drugged his food and cheated on him.”
