Josephine Phyna Otabor, winner of Big Brother Naija season seven, has claimed that her relationship with Nigerian social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM) is the reason actress Iyabo Ojo has distanced herself from her.
Speaking during a recent Twitch livestream, Phyna said she noticed a sudden change in Iyabo Ojo’s behaviour towards her online.
According to the reality star, the actress previously engaged actively with her posts but has since stopped liking or commenting and has unfollowed her.
In a clip from the livestream that has gone viral, Phyna suggested the shift is tied to her association with VDM, whose real name is Martins Otse.
“I feel mama (Iyabo Ojo) doesn’t like me anymore because before she used to comment and like my posts, but now she no longer likes them, and she no longer follows me. It’s because of that dirty boy,” she said.
Phyna also took responsibility for how the friendship has affected her relationships with others in the entertainment space. She admitted that standing up for VDM led her to make comments she now regrets.
“I have my own share to face. I even went as far as to insult Victoria Adeleye because of this same dirty boy,” she added.
“So I have had my fair share. A lot of people have stopped talking to me. There was a time I made a post, and Angel from BBN commented, and I know she was not happy with me.”
VeryDarkMan is known for regularly clashing online with several public figures, including Iyabo Ojo. At the time of filing this report, the actress has not reacted publicly to Phyna’s comments.
