Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has been officially confirmed as part of the voice cast for the upcoming animated movie ViQueens.
The film producers announced his involvement in an Instagram post, revealing that the football star will portray a Viking-inspired version of himself.
“A modern Viking enters the ViQueens universe,” the announcement read.
“From December 25, audiences will meet Haaland as the legendary Viking ‘Haaland’ in our new animated feature film ViQueens.”

According to the production team, Haaland will voice a character based on his own persona, described as a “legendary Viking” named Haaland.
Solveig Langeland, Managing Director of Sola Media, which handles global distribution of the film, said the footballer’s inclusion adds a new layer of appeal to the project.
“His involvement brings another exciting dimension to a film that already combines international adventure, humour, and emotional storytelling in a way we believe will resonate with audiences everywhere,” she said.
The animated feature is set in a fantasy world filled with fearless warrior girls, icy fjords, and Silk Road-inspired mythology.
Haaland will feature alongside singer Rita Ora and actress Ella Purnell, who voice the lead characters, Hedvig and Ingrid.
The movie is scheduled for release on Christmas Day.
