Heather Hardy is suing Jake Paul’s MVP for over $10 million due to injuries she claims occurred in her fight against them.
Heather Hardy, the 33-year-old former WBO featherweight world titleholder, has filed suit against fight promoter Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) and is seeking $10 million or more in damages due to her being allegedly “permanently brain injured” during her 2023 fight with Amanda Serrano.
The 54-page complaint, which was filed on September 23 in US federal court in Texas has accused Paul, MVP, its COO Bryce Holden and Holden Boxing.
Hardy claims the defendants preyed on her financial distress to set up a risky rematch with Serrano on the card of Paul’s bout with Nate Diaz on August 5, 2023.

The statement also claims safety concerns about a rematch had been expressed by promoters, trainers and friends.
MVP issued a statement denying the allegations, offering sympathies to Hardy, and asserting that she had been cleared by a doctor and that all safety rules were followed during the bout, which was monitored by the athletic commission.
Hardy is seeking to claim damages for negligence and alleged violations of the Muhammad Ali Boxing Reform Act. She is also seeking legal costs and other reforms for fighter safety.
These charges are yet to be proved in court, and the legal submissions of each defendant will decide the future of the case.
