One of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi’s wives, Olori Kafayat, had also passed away just a few weeks after her husband’s passing.
According to reports, Olori Kafayat, the mother of Prince Adebayo Adeyemi, also known as D’Guv, passed away on Friday evening.
Although the specifics of her passing were still hazy at the time this story was filed, Mr. Bode Durojaye, the Alaafin Palace’s director of media and publicity, verified it on Saturday morning.
He confirmed that she passed away in the United States of America and that he would give the details of her demise later.
After a brief illness, the 83-year-old Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Adeyemi passed away on Friday, 22nd of April, 2022 at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital in Ado Ekiti.
After the death of Oba Adeyemi, the people of Oyo have not yet received a new Alaafin.
