Christain Heidel, Mainz Sporting director, has berated Todd Bohely Chelsea’s new owner for the abrupt sack of Thomas Tuchel.
If we can recall, Bohely sacked Tuchel due to Chelsea’s poor start of the club in the premier league, and their shameful defeat by Zinamo Zagreb in the champions league group games.
Many people have condemned Chelsea’s decision to sack Tuchel who helped the club win the 2020/21 champions league title.
Tuchel and Heildel worked together when Tuchel was still Mainz’s manager.
According to Heidel, Bohely who knows nothing about football thinks ranking sixth on the premier league table is a bad deal, just at the start of the season. He also said that he’s waiting to see what the new coach will do.
He further said, that Chelsea will definitely feel sorry for this rash decision, as they probably won’t get a wonderful coach with such exceptional managerial skills, so quick
Speaking to Bild, Heidel said: “The sacking is grist to the mill of those who are against investors in football.”
“It was purely an investor’s decision.
“Someone who has no idea about football probably thought that sixth place wasn’t good enough for him and said: ‘Then let’s try another coach’ after only six games.
“I can’t think of any other reason.
“But Chelsea will bitterly regret this decision – they won’t get such a good coach again so quickly,” Heidel stated.
