2023, as state public holidays because of President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to the
state.
The holidays were ordered to enable all civil servants and the general public in the state to receive the President, who is expected to be in the state on a one-day visit to inaugurate/launch some projects.
This directive was contained in a circular dated January 8, 2023, and was signed by the state’s Head of Service, Alhaji Garba Bilal. According to the circular, all civil servants were to resume work on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.
