It burst onto the scene in 2013 and quickly became a hit, especially in 2015 and 2016 when it became the talk of the town as the key novel for the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) Examination. This book found its way into my hands during my secondary school days, thanks to my brother, who was preparing for the JAMB exams. Ah, those days when novels were everything!

Her arrival stirs up the school as students label her ‘The Witch’ due to misunderstandings and her reserved nature. Even I didn’t warm up to her initially, but as the chapters unfolded, my perspective shifted.
As events unfold, a scandal involving Efua shakes the school, causing her isolation and a deep sense of loneliness. On the other hand, Jimi, the school’s star, battles his own internal struggles beneath his cheerful façade.
