Popular Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage has given a shocking narration on how she was heavily criticised over her “sexy” fashion style in the early days of her career.
While making a disclosure in a recent interview she had with Kiss FM in the UK, Savage recalled that she was also thrown under the bus for her “risky and obscene” lyrics as a youngster.
She had revealed that due to her experiences, she was now ‘obsessed’ with Ayra Starr.
She had remarked that Starr’s continuance to shine on the global music scene regardless of the criticisms thrown at her by Nigerians over her dressing sense.

Tiwa Savage had gushed about her fellow Nigerian entertainer saying, “I love Ayra [Starr]. I’m obsessed with her. She’s amazing and genuine, too. It makes me emotional because when I started, I got criticised a lot for dressing too sexy and my lyrics being too risky (obscene).
“So, seeing someone, Ayra now…If I see her wearing the short skirts as they [critics] say, I’ll want to like [tell her], ‘Make it shorter.
And she looks amazing, she’s extremely talented. Yeah, she’s a star.”
