Deputy Senate President Laments The Deaths of 14 Worshippers in The Kano Mosque

Barau Jibrin, the deputy president of the Senate, has expressed his sorrow over the deaths of 14 worshippers in Kano on Friday who were struck by a caravan during an accident that happened after Juma’at prayers.

Following Friday prayers in Imawa town, Kura LGA, Kano State, 14 worshippers were confirmed dead by the Federal Road Safety Corps on Friday.

Ismail Mudashir, Barau’s Special Advisor on Media and Publicity, expressed his condolences to the families of the departed in a statement on Saturday.

He prayed for everyone who was hurt to heal quickly and for the souls of the departed to rest in peace.

“We mourn the tragic loss of 14 worshippers crushed by a caravan after Juma’at prayers on Friday in Kano,” he remarked with much regret. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims’ families and loved ones. We extend our sincerest sympathies during this unbearably painful hour. “We pray for the Almighty Allah to give strength and comfort to those they left behind, and for the departed’s souls to rest in Aljanatul Firdausi.”
