Prominent blogger and music producer, Samklef has applauded the Igbos for allegedly shunning the current protest against bad leadership in Nigeria that was held today, 1st August, 2024.
Media reports noted that the protest did not occur in the Igbo-dominated/ South-Eastern region. Samklef approve of this development, he tweeted that the tribes currently in power should also continue with the protest. His comments have elicited some reactions and continuation of debates on the contribution of various regions and ethnic groups in the on-going demonstrations.
On his X handle, he wrote: “God bless my Igbo people for shunning the protest. Let the tribes in power carry their cross.”
With the ongoing protests, Samklef’s statement is an addition to the discussion of the current state of affairs of the society and politics in that country.
