A Tale of Love, Betrayal, and Supernatural Consequences

Farmer’s Bride brings the audience to the ’80s Ibadan with the protagonist focused around Odun, a rich but lonely farmer who wants a wife. His young wife, Funmi, joins the marriage with the best of expectations but is left frustrated after a short-time of the marriage. It becomes worse when Funmi gets involved in an extramarital affair with his Odun’s nephew, thus provoking a series of repercussions that transform the love story into a scary story of love, betrayal and voodoo mastery.

The movie’s plot touches such issues as loneliness, passion, and the price that people pay when surrendering to their passions. In dynamism of the relations within the characters, the viewers are offered a universe where every decision matters.
