First Lady Oluremi Tinubu and National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu are planning to lead a nationwide prayer event, asking for help from God to solve Nigeria’s economic problems. The 7-day event, called “Seeking God’s Help for Nigeria,” is being organised with the help of Christian and Muslim leaders.

Segun Afolorunikan, the head of the National Prayer Forum (NPF), said the prayer event is meant to bring Nigerians together and find long-term solutions to the country’s issues. Afolorunikan stressed that “unity is very important for finding lasting solutions” and believes that by the end of the prayer event, leaders and citizens will gain the strength to face their common challenges.

The prayer sessions will happen at important locations, including:

  • – National Ecumenical Centre: Christians will meet for a week to pray together.
  • – National Mosque in Abuja: Muslims will gather for seven days, with 313 people expected to read the Quran 2,191 times.

Many discussions have happened, with leaders from the national mosque, the head of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), and traditional leaders like the Sultan of Sokoto.

This national prayer event is a way to bring Nigerians together to ask for help from God during the country’s tough economic times. Led by Oluremi Tinubu and Nuhu Ribadu, the event hopes to bring people together and encourage everyone to work towards a better future for Nigeria.
