One of the three wedding guests who had been abducted after leaving the celebratory ceremony at Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo state, on August 28, has regained his freedom.
Collins Alaefula had been released on Saturday, 17th September, after his family members had paid the complete ransom, the kidnappers had demanded.
The other wedding guests, Mmadu Promise and Victor Chibuike had earlier been released after their families paid the demanded sum to the kidnappers. Collins had been the last the pay the sum his abductors had demanded of him.
According to a news report by Punch newspapers,
“Alaefula Collins one of the three young men kidnapped over three weeks ago has finally been released. The kidnappers refused to release him last week together with his other two friends because according to a family source, his ransom wasn’t yet complete.”
