The acting director of the U.S. Secret Service will be testifying before three Senate committees on Tuesday in the aftermath of the attempted assassination of Donald Trump, a former United States president, according to the committees on Wednesday.
In addition, Federal Bureau of Investigation‘s deputy director will also testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee, which will be holding a hearing in association with the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
Recall that Kimberly Cheatle tendered her resignation letter as the director of the U.S. Secret Service on Tuesday after pressure mounted on her to quit after she and her team failed to prevent the attempted assassination.
Ronald L. Rowe, Jr. had replaced her as acting director after her exit.
