Ahmed Buhari was named as Dumebi Kachikwu’s running mate for the 2023 presidential election on Wednesday. Kachikwu is the presidential candidate for the African Democratic Congress. Buhari, incidentally, ran for president in the 2019 elections on behalf of the Sustainable National Party of Nigeria. The Chief Executive Officer of Roots TV, Kachikwu, criticized President Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) for the state of security in Nigeria while introducing his running mate in Abuja. He claimed the President had neglected his responsibilities. The presidential candidate, who demanded President Buhari’s resignation, referred to the APC-led administration as dishonest. “The ADC has come to rescue Nigeria, take it out of its present security and economic woes,” he informed Nigerians.
The Academic Staff Union of Universities strike would be history under the ADC, Kachikwu claimed. Speaking on security, he pledged to increase military recruitment to meet the nation’s needs.
