Nigerian singer Adekunle Kosoko, widely known as Adekunle Gold, has responded to false rumours circulating online regarding his health.
The speculation began after a post on X (formerly Twitter) claimed the artist had undergone a bone marrow transplant to help manage a medical condition.
The tweet stated:
“Yes, he has, but since he’s had a bone marrow transplant, I don’t think it affects him that much anymore.”
Adekunle Gold, however, was quick to debunk the claim. Taking to social media, he dismissed the rumour with a touch of humour and frustration.
In his words:
“It is how you people will just say things you don’t even know with so much confidence. No, I haven’t had a bone marrow transplant.”
The rumours may have stemmed from the singer’s public disclosure in 2022, when he revealed in his song “5 Star” that he has lived with sickle cell anaemia—a condition that sparked admiration for his resilience and success.
