Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has rejoiced after winning a defamation lawsuit against a Nigerian news platform.

The legal triumph follows a report nearly two years ago that listed Adunni Ade among “six popular Nigerian celebrities” allegedly involved with Senator Dino Melaye—a claim she firmly denied.

Adunni Ade had filed a N100 million lawsuit against the news outlet for invasion of privacy and defamation.

Sharing the news on her Instagram page on Tuesday evening, the actress praised the judiciary, writing:
“Won my case Adunni Ade vs. Polace Media Limited (www.naijanews.com). A false story was published about me, but truth stood tall. This judgment reaffirms that privacy matters – and so does integrity. Justice delayed isn’t justice denied.

“2 cases won, a few more to go. You who is running up and down avoiding court papers, please stand still, so that you can be served.”

When responding to questions in the comment section, Adunni added:
“Judge granted N20 million in damages, but blogger don japa. Na to garnish account remain.”
