Kim Seok-jin aka Jin, the eldest member of BTS, successfully concludes mandatory military duty on June 12, 2024, greeted warmly by fellow BTS members RM, SUGA, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. A viral video captures BTS leader RM showcasing saxophone skills as Jimin offers Jin a supportive gesture.

The Internet buzzes with emotional reunion photos and videos, including a group snapshot featuring ‘Jin is back’ balloons adorning the background.”

The remaining members, currently fulfilling their military duties, had to seek permission for leave from their assigned camps. Jin shared a mysterious message on the fan platform Weverse, hinting at his impending discharge with a simple “D-1” on Tuesday.

The BTS members shared a touching photo on their official Twitter account, captioned “We’re back,” showing them smiling at the camera. Suga, who couldn’t be there in person, was digitally included in the image. Additionally, Jin emotionally connected with fans via a live broadcast on Weverse, discussing his return after completing his military service. Jin, the first BTS member to finish his military duty, enlisted in December 2022 as an active-duty soldier and served as a drill instructor.

Jin expressed mixed feelings about his return, sharing his emotional moments during his send-off by his fellow soldiers.

Following his discharge, Jin’s inaugural event will be the ‘2024 FESTA,’ a live fan gathering scheduled for June 13 at Seoul’s Jamsil Indoor Stadium. The highlight will be a “Hug Event,” during which Jin plans to embrace 1,000 fans, followed by an interactive session for further engagement and communication with attendees.
