The Spanish Football Federation president Rafael Louzán has minimized the heat caused by the exchange of words between Dani Carvajal and Lamine Yamal during the last El Clásico at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The confrontation between the Real Madrid defender and Barcelona teenager after the intensity of the game was the most talked about and footage showed Carvajal seemingly telling Yamal that he “talked too much.” The fight followed an altercation involving players of both teams after the match.

Both players being the core of Luis de la Fuente’s Spain, the team, the fans grew worried about the crisis escalated in the national team camp. Nevertheless, Louzán stated to El Partidazo de COPE that the question would be settled on the pitch. “Indeed, it was a moment of heated argument in a match full of tension,” he said. “We are very much in need of these two players, two of the biggest stars of Spanish and global football. It won’t be going any further.”
According to El Desmarque, De la Fuente has already talked with the two players to calm the situation and Carvajal, who may be out for the rest of 2025 with a knee injury, to check on his condition. Both of them were quite instrumental in Spain’s Euro 2024 victory and it is assumed that they will be present at the 2026 World Cup.
