Again, Gunmen Attacked Anambra Police Station Six Killed

Not less than 24 hours after some policemen were Killed in Ukpo and Ogidi, six persons were killed in an attack at the police Divisional headquarters in Nkwelle, Ezunaka, Oyi Local Government Area of the state.

According to a source, the gunmen shot sporadically as they approached the entrance of the police station, however, they were combated by the policemen on duty. Five of the suspects were killed and a policeman to was Killed.

The incident was confirmed by DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, the police spokesperson of the Anambra state police Force, according to him, investigations are still ongoing and when investigations are concluded, they’ll be communicated to the general public.

“The situation is under control and the incident is still being assessed. Meanwhile, operations are still ongoing and further development shall be communicated, please,” Ikenga added.

There’s still no information, on why these police stations are being attacked or who the perpetrators of this evil are, but DSP Tochukwu Ikenga has affirmed that the police are on the situation.
