The Nigerian Airforce 303 Medium Airlift group in Ilorin commenced an operation with other sister agencies to invade the camps of criminals and bad eggs in the state.

The exercise which came along with name ‘ Exercise Apejopo Idi’ which means gathering of the eagles, it will run from this Saturday till the end of December.

According to them, the operation is targeted at assessing every area including bushes which could serve as hideouts for criminals

Exercise Apejopo Idi, which is planned for December 16 to 31, 2022, aims at utilizing NAF ground and air assets to comb the bushes and vulnerable communities within the Eyenkorin-Peke-Okolowo area.”

A statement by the Commander of the 303 Medium Airlift Group, Air Commodore Ibrahim-Garba Jibia, stated, “The operation will also involve 22 Brigade, the Department of State Service, police, local vigilante and hunter groups to get rid of the bad eggs and any possible kidnappers’ den along that area.”

This is a beautiful innovation by the Airforce, especially in this festive period, when criminals are lurking around to unleash mayhem. This will serve as a warning to criminal gangs and groups, security agencies in all states should pick a date when such activities will be carried out to access interior places in the state that criminals use as hideouts to carry out evil activities.
