The All Progressives Congress (APC), National Working Committee (NWC) has selected Senator Godswill Akpabio for Senate President.
Following its decision to zone the leadership of the 10th National Assembly, the APC’s management made the nomination on Monday.
The NWC’s zoning arrangement, according to an official declaration signed by the party’s spokesman, Felix Morka, is as follows: South-South Senator Godswill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom) is the Senate President, and North West Senator Barau Jubrin (Kano) is the Deputy Senate President.
Others include the Speaker of the House of Representatives (North-West), Hon. Abass Tajudeen (Kaduna), and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (South East), Hon. Ben Kalu (Abia).
The APC also asked its leaders, members, and all Nigerians to continue working for the country’s peace and growth during and beyond the present leadership transition.
