With a convincing 6-4, 6-4 win against teammate Roberto Bautista Agut on Saturday, Carlos Alcaraz has once again sealed his spot in the Queen’s Club final.

The world number two has stretched his winning run to 17 games with a semi-final match that was done under very hot weather in West London. Alcaraz, 22, gave 36 winners and 15 aces throughout the 90-minute match, proving that he is still in good shape that has already brought him five Grand Slam titles.

World number two seed Alcaraz will next play against Czech Republic’s number 30 Jiri Lehecka in Sunday’s final after Lehecka upset home favourite Jack Draper in a gruelling three-set match.
The tournament at Queen’s is Alcaraz’s fifth final in a row, with him having won the clay titles in Paris, Rome, Barcelona, and Monte Carlo this season. He is just one victory away from becoming the only Spanish player after Feliciano Lopez, to have twice won the Queen’s Club title, after the latter’s wins in 2017 and 2019.

“I’m having a great run and feel more at ease with each match,” Alcaraz told. “It’s definitely a special feeling to be in the final here again. I always try to enjoy myself and also give the fans the same feeling.”

Alcaraz is the 2023 Queen’s and Wimbledon champion and will be defending his title at SW19.
