Apple Inc. has threatened to withhold the microblogging app, Twitter, from its App store.

Elon Musk made this disclosure and said that Apple did not give reasons for its threat of withholding Twitter from the App store. Elon Musk had on Monday evening, November 28, tweeted:

“Apple has also threatened to withhold Twitter from its App Store, but won’t tell us why.”

This was after the Billionaire had earlier tweeted that Apple Inc has mostly stopped advertising on Twitter while asking “Do they hate free speech in America?”

It is noteworthy to mention that Apple’s App Store is the only way to distribute software to the company’s iPhones and if Apple succeeds in pulling Twitter out from its App Store, Twitter would lose one of its main distribution platforms.

This is coming after Elon Musk ran a poll to determine the reinstatement of former US President Donald Trump’s suspended Twitter account and could likely be the reason for Apple’s recent decisions.
