Nyesom Wike, the leader in charge of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has said that August 1st will be a special day to celebrate the traditional leaders in Abuja. He also asked people not to protest on that day.

At a meeting where they talked about keeping Abuja safe, Minister Wike explained that the leaders of the six main parts of Abuja will give special certificates to their traditional leaders on August 1st.

He mentioned that this day ought to be full of happiness and festivities, and should not include any demonstrations.

Minister Wike stated that individuals have the freedom to demonstrate, but they need to adhere to the regulations while doing so. He encouraged Nigerians to collaborate in addressing the nation’s challenges and expressed his confidence that President Bola Tinubu can effectively manage these matters.

The Minister highlighted the positive developments occurring in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), attributing them to President Tinubu’s assistance. He pledged to maintain the city’s tranquility and stability, and declared that protests on August 1st or any subsequent date would not be permitted.
