Passengers may be left stranded across airports in the country as aviation unions had vowed on Sunday, April 17 to begin a two-day warning strike on Monday, April 18.
Domestic and international airlines will probably be forced to cancel their flights as aviation workers boycott their jobs in protest against the federal government’s failure to address their concerns as to the National Minimum Wage Consequential Adjustment and working conditions.
The Aviation unions embarking on the strike include the Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers, the Association of Nigeria Aviation Professionals, the Amalgamated Union of Public Corporations, and Civil Service Technical, and Recreational Services Employees.
