Bayern Munich thrashed Mainz 6-2 at the Allianz Arena in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
Serge Gnabry opened Bayern Munich’s goal-scoring spree, after he scored the first goal putting Bayern on the lead after receiving an assist from Sadio mane, five minutes into the game, not long after, Eric Maxim Chopo-Moting provided an assist for Musiala who doubled Bayern Munich’s lead.
Sadio Mane then added another goal to make it 3-0 for Bayern. Silvian Widmer scored a goal for Mainz to reduce their humiliation after VAR awarded Mainz a penalty.
The first half ended with Bayern leading 3-1.
Bayern continued their goal-scoring spree in the second half, as Leon Goretzka scored the fourth goal for Bayern after receiving a Sadio Mane in the 58th minute. In the 79th minute, Mathys Tel fired another shot into the goal to make it 5-1.
Mainz finally found the net again, as Marcus Ingvartsen, fired a goal for Mainz in the 82nd minute, this didn’t deter Bayern, as they sealed their win as Chopo-Moting scored after receiving an assist from Kingsley Coman.
Bayern Munich’s win has taken them to the top spot of the Bundesliga table.
