Super Eagles player, Victor Boniface has expressed his excitement after scoring a goal for Royal Saint Gilloise, in their match against Eupen in the Belgian Jupiler League.
This happens to be his second goal for Union this season after moving from Bodo Glint this summer.
Speaking about the goal, he said that he feels really excited to have scored, as this guarantees them three points in the bag, he further pinned the goal on collective teamwork rather than personal or individual performance.
“It’s not about individual performance, it’s about the team,” said Victor Boniface immediately afterward, as per HLN.
“I am very happy that I was able to score the goal that gave us the three points. What happened at that stage? I have to watch the goal again. I don’t remember how I jumped, but I think I jumped really well and scored the goal.”
Despite after starting this season on a good note with two goals already in the bag for his new team, and considering that he scored 14 goals for Bodo whilst he was still with them, he was snubbed by the super eagles’ coach as he did not receive any call up for Nigeria’s international friendly against Algeria.
