A building collapse in Ojodu-Berger has left the community in shock, The incident happened around 8 am on Saturday at Oremeta Street, near the busy Lagos suburb. Eyewitnesses said many people were inside the building when it gave way.

One resident said, “We just heard a loud noise. Before we could run outside, the house was down.” Emergency workers have rushed to the scene, but many victims are feared dead. The exact number of casualties is not yet confirmed.

Many Feared Dead After Building Collapse in Ojodu-Berger

The building collapse in Ojodu-Berger involved a structure that housed a local restaurant. Early reports say several customers and staff may have been trapped inside. A man who lives nearby told our reporter, “They’ve been cooking there since morning. Then everything went silent. People started shouting.”

Rescue efforts are ongoing. Neighbours joined in before officials arrived. An emergency worker said, “We’re trying to pull out people. It’s bad. The building is badly damaged.” Locals say the structure had shown signs of weakness, but no action was taken.
