Released on June 28, 2024, Burna Boy’s latest single, “Higher,” is an anthem of resilience and hope dedicated to his hometown, Port Harcourt. Accompanied by a powerful music video, the song highlights Burna Boy’s commitment to his community through his “Project Protect” initiative and collaboration with The R.E.A.C.H. charity organization.

Since his international breakthrough in 2018, Burna Boy has risen to become Africa’s biggest music artist, earning multiple awards and a global fan base.

The “Higher” music video, co-directed by Burna Boy and Asurf, documents an emotional journey back to Port Harcourt, showcasing his direct involvement in community support and outreach. The visuals also celebrate success and community spirit, marking Burna Boy’s first release of 2024.

This release highlights Burna Boy’s dedication to his humanitarian efforts with “Project Protect” and his partnership with The R.E.A.C.H. to provide essential services to underserved populations in Nigeria.

Following a historic year of achievements, including being named in TIME’s 100 Most Influential People of 2024, Burna Boy set records in the US for the highest-grossing concert by an African artist and in Canada for the highest-grossing tour by an African artist.

Burna Boy’s celebration of his journey and success comes just a day before his record-setting headline concert at the London Stadium, where he will become the first African artist to headline two stadium concerts in the UK.
