Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau confirmed that he and his wife Sophie are separating after 18 years of marriage in an official statement released on Wednesday.
The couple has taken all necessary legal and ethical steps regarding their decision and will continue to prioritize their family’s well-being moving forward.
Despite the separation, Trudeau and Sophie remain committed to being a close-knit family, dedicated to raising their three children in a safe, loving, and collaborative environment. The family is planning to spend time together on vacation, starting next week.
