Maverick entertainer Charles Oputa, better known as Charly Boy, has appealed to the controversial pastor Chukwuemeka Cyril Ohanaemere, popularly called Odumeje, to use his abilities to prevent Nigeria from collapsing. Charly Boy voiced his distress over the declining economy and the urgent need for help in the country.
In a post on X, the entertainer pointed out the severe hunger crisis affecting Nigeria.
“Dear Odumeje, We Nigerians have humbly come to you – please can you stop the nation from burning, fire is catching, the economy is plummeting.
“We ask for your power in this desperate time of need.
“Abeg no mind Dangote, he get plenty money oo, this hunger no dey reach him side that’s why E no understand say E go humble before the Indabosky #Naijamatter.
This announcement coincides with President Bola Tinubu’s recent measures to address food insecurity in Nigeria.
Agriculture and Food Security Minister Abubakar Kyari revealed that the Federal Government will introduce a 150-day duty-free import window for food commodities. During this period, the government will reduce taxes and import duties on wheat, maize, husked brown rice, and cowpeas.
