Cristiano Ronaldo finally met the U.S. President Donald Trump in a very special way. The Portuguese superstar was invited to the White House on Tuesday to attend a dinner with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman.
He shared the news with a post on social media where he thanked the President and the First Lady for their warm welcome. Ronaldo wrote, “Thank you, Mr. President, for the invitation and the warm reception you and the First Lady gave to me and my future wife.” “Each of us has something meaningful to offer and I am ready to do my part as we inspire new generations to build a future defined by courage, responsibility, and lasting peace.”

On that day, Ronaldo was in Washington when President Trump met the Saudi Prime Minister along with the chairman of the Public Investment Fund. Their sovereign fund manages Al Nassr, the club where the Portuguese star plays. The White House posted pictures of Ronaldo and Trump together at the presidential portrait gallery and the Oval Office, also joined by his model lover Georgina Rodríguez.
The visit happened just 2 days after portugal confirmed there place in the 2026 World Cup. The star player had earlier mentioned his wish to meet Trump during the interview with Piers Morgan.
The visit also marked Mohammed bin Salman’s first official trip to the US in seven years, during which he revealed plans for Saudi investments in the US to expand to almost a trillion dollars—this will with further allyship between the two countries.
Ronaldo is now the latest addition to the list of Portuguese athletes who reportedly have visited the White House, along with Olympic champion Carlos Lopes and NBA winner Neemias Queta.
