Media personality, Daniel Regha, called out singer, Ayra Starr, for what he described as a “disrespectful” act against her fellow Nigerian artist, Jaywon, during a recent photo session. What got Regha talking was how Ayra Starr subtly cleared space and pushed away Jaywon’s hand, which is opposed to how she drew close to American rapper Future on Business of Fashion in Paris Fashion Week.
In the pictures that went viral, courtesy of singer Odumodu Blvck, Ayra Starr is close to Future, while she deliberately created space between her and Jaywon, even holding back the hands of Jaywon in the group picture. Regha didn’t go easy on her as his post described her actions as classist and disrespectful to Jaywon, whom he hailed as an industry icon.
“Jaywon is an industry icon,” Regha tweeted. “What Ayra Starr did was classism. She should’ve declined the photo request rather than making a mockery of him by treating him differently.”
