Nigerian superstar Davido has expressed deep concern following two tragic incidents that shook the country— the kidnapping of schoolgirls in Kebbi State and a deadly church attack in Kwara State.
According to reports, three people lost their lives during a programme at a Christ Apostolic Church branch in Kwara on Tuesday evening, with the pastor and several congregants abducted.
This heartbreaking assault came barely a day after 25 schoolgirls were seized in Kebbi State on Monday, November 17, 2025.
Responding to the distressing events in a statement posted on X on Wednesday, Davido lamented the suffering families are enduring. He wrote, “No family deserves this pain.”

The award-winning singer urged Nigerians not to normalize such violence, stressing the need for collective action. “These acts of violence must never become our norm,” he stated.
Davido extended heartfelt sympathy to the families of the kidnapped girls, saying, “My heart goes out to the young girls kidnapped in Kebbi and their families. No family deserves this pain.”
He added that Nigerians must remain united in pushing for a safer nation: “As Nigerians, we must stand together in unity and continue working towards a country where every child can grow up in safety and hope.”
He also reacted to the Kwara church attack, describing it as devastating. “I am deeply saddened by the tragic attack on the church in Kwara State. I pray for the families who lost loved ones and everyone affected by this heartbreaking incident,” he wrote.
Davido further called for urgent measures to rescue the abducted girls and encouraged anyone with useful information to assist authorities.
His message concluded with a prayer: “May God comfort the grieving families in Kwara, bring peace to our nation, and put every sponsor of violence and disorder to shame.”
