Afrobeats superstar Davido has dismissed reports linking him to an alleged $50,000 unpaid wedding planning bill, describing the claim as outrageous.
The singer made the comment on Sunday evening while responding to the viral allegation involving his wedding to Chioma.
Reports circulating on social media alleged that Funke Bucknor-Obruthe, CEO of the event planning company said to have handled the couple’s wedding, had called out Davido over an outstanding payment. The claim was accompanied by screenshots of an alleged chat in which the event planner was said to be threatening legal action.
Reacting via his X (formerly Twitter) account, Davido expressed displeasure at the allegation, making it clear that he found the report insulting.
“This is just crazy atp (at this point),” the singer wrote.
The post has since sparked widespread reactions online, with fans and observers debating the authenticity of the claim.
