Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa has issued a strong caution to business owners and vendors, urging them to stop using her identity, photos, or videos to advertise their products and services without her approval.
The actress made the announcement in a post shared on her official Instagram page, where she clarified that simply patronising a business does not amount to an endorsement or promotional agreement.
Amusa explained that some vendors mistakenly believe she is obligated to advertise their brands after purchasing their products or using their services — a claim she firmly dismissed.
“Henceforth, if I pay for your product or service, don’t expect me to mention or tag you in my post,” she wrote.

She further warned against the unauthorised use of her images and videos for marketing, sales, or publicity, stressing that offenders would be held accountable.
“Do not use my picture or video for any promotional purpose without my consent. If you do, you will face the consequences,” she added.
The film star also made it clear that she does not operate a charity organisation, apart from her non-profit initiative, the Dayo Amusa Foundation.
