President Bola Tinubu has welcomed the ex-governors of Rivers and Ebonyi states, Nyesom Wike and David Umahi, together with Senator Godswill Akpabio, the chosen candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the Senate Presidency.
This will be the second time the ex-Rivers state governor will be calling on the newly sworn in Nigerian President in 72 hours.
Recall that during his previous visit, Wike had informed journalists that the move was purely to show support as a Nigerian, refuting the allegations that he was about to defect to the APC.
The agenda for this recent visit hasn’t been disclosed but it may not be unrelated with the leadership of the 10th Assembly that will be sworn in this month.
