Sean “Diddy” Combs’ explosive sex trafficking and racketeering charges, which could end his legacy, were denied. Authorities arrested the 54-year-old music mogul at Manhattan’s Park Hyatt hotel. According to prosecutors, since 2008, Combs implemented threats and manipulation to satisfy his desires and protect his reputation in a “decade-plus forced cycle of abuse”, where he subjected women to drug-induced sexual activities dubbed as “Freak Offs.”.
Despite the seriousness of the charges, Combs did not shrink away from the hearing. Combs’ lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, said the rapper will “fight like hell” to prove his innocence. Combs was indicted on three felony counts, to which he pleaded not guilty while proclaiming he would fight the prosecution’s allegations.
This new scandal adds to the several civil lawsuits and misconduct allegations Combs is already facing. Combs has maintained his innocence as his team prepares for what could be a long legal battle, while prosecutors weigh bringing additional charges in their continuing investigation of the case.
