DJ Tunez, the official disc jockey for Afrobeat star Wizkid, has revealed that his biggest challenge in the music industry has nothing to do with beats or performances — but with reconciling two of Nigeria’s biggest music stars.
Speaking during a recent livestream on X, DJ Tunez admitted that trying to get Wizkid and Davido to become friends remains the most difficult task he has ever faced.
He said: “My biggest challenge? Making Wizkid and Davido to love each other, that’s my biggest challenge.”
He added that despite his efforts, getting both superstars to reconcile and remain on good terms has proven to be a tough battle.
Wizkid and Davido have had a long history of rivalry, often trading subtle jabs and open insults. In October 2024, their feud flared up again, with both artists exchanging harsh words on social media.
The ongoing tension between the duo has sparked concern within the music community.
Industry figures like Iyanya and Davido’s associate, Asa Asika, have urged both men to put their differences aside and collaborate, highlighting how much their unity would mean for the growth of Afrobeats on the global stage.
